The Ducaton, often called the "Silver Rider," was a respected Dutch trade coin minted from 1659 to 1798. It featured an armoured knight on horseback with a raised sword, symbolising the economic strength of the Republic of the Seven United Netherlands.

This official 2022 restrike faithfully reproduces the historic imagery in a double-thick Piedfort format, a prestigious style once reserved for coins presented by rulers to their households as symbols of wealth and status.

Made from 2 troy ounces (62.2 g) of 99.9% pure silver, this coin measures 38.7 mm in diameter and features a pristine proof finish with mirror-like fields and frosted accents. The obverse features the legendary mounted knight along with the Latin inscription "MO: NO: ARG: CONFOE: BELG: PRO: TRAI" (New silver coin of the United Provinces of the Netherlands, Utrecht).
