Product overview

Issued to mark the second decade of the RAM’s silver Kangaroo program, this coin was Australia’s first experiment with selective gold plating on a precious metal numismatic release. The reverse features "Jirrah‑Watty” (Big Kangaroo), created by Victorian Aboriginal artist Ray Thomas, whose powerful dreamscape style is rendered as a dynamic leaping kangaroo, framed by Indigenous motifs.

Struck from one troy ounce of 99.9% fine silver, the finish features a contrast between frosted details and mirror-like surfaces. Additionally, key design elements, such as the kangaroo, are selectively plated in gold, adding depth and warmth.

With a maximum mintage of 10,000 pieces, each coin is issued encapsulated in a felt-lined display case with an outer box and a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
