About The Singapore Mint
After Singapore's independence in 1968, the Singapore Mint began minting circulation coins for the new nation. It soon became a global player, producing commemoratives, bullion, and medallions that blend heritage with modern style.
From its roots in Chartered Industries, it became the go-to for Singapore's first series of coins and, as the exclusive agent for the Board of Commissioners' special issues and gold bullion, for items such as Merlion dollars.
What excites me is how it captures Singapore's spirit, that mix of tradition (orchids, Merlions) and progress (SG60 jubilees, neighbourhood tributes). ISO-certified for quality, it fosters local pride and serves international clients across Nepal and Uganda.
These coins aren't distant history; they're vibrant nods to urban legends, national milestones, and Asian motifs that feel alive. Perfect for collectors building Southeast Asian sets or seeking that cross-cultural spark.
